Restorative materials for indirect applications have rapidly evolved over the last ten years, and this is only the beginning. While the trend to stiffer and stronger materials is apparent and more widely accepted, it is not without its challenges including appropriateness of application, placement, and finishing. Materials that are durable, kind to the opposing dentition, esthetic, and conveniently placed adhesively to this point have been an elusive challenge. Innovative ceramic engineering coupled with streamlined and effective adhesive chemistries will change what all dentists will do.
